Fight shaming with laughter and glam
It’s no secret that social media has become a platform for expression which is often negative, hurtful and full of hate.
Teens everywhere have access to the cruel world of body shaming, on the platforms which they simply want to use to stay connected socially.
Recently, it seems to have been quite a common theme on Twitter to see people posting comments about what women over 200 pounds should NOT wear in public – because apparently, there are a few “set social standards”.
With all due respect to the made-up standards, one girl had the perfect response to what girls over 200 pounds should wear in public, and no – there are no mentions of ponchos.
In fact, she doesn’t think any girl should feel ashamed to dress as she pleases – and if you don’t like it – you can use your motor skills to look away at something more eye-soothing, like a puppy, or a wall.
