When a good sense of humor on social media turns into a movie
Back in 2014 Rihanna and Lupita Nyong’o were photographed side by side at a Miu Miu fashion show looking extremely classy and focused – almost as if working on a secret plot.
A Twitter user was quick to joke about the picture by posting about a hilarious fictional movie plot that would very much suit the image:
Rihanna looks like she scams rich white men and lupita is the computer smart best friend that helps plan the scans https://t.co/PhWs1xd3nj

Although the idea was later discovered to be originally posted on Tumblr, the tweet was retweeted over 90 thousand times, and it caught the attention of both photographed women who thought the idea was pretty awesome.
Selma director Ava DuVernay took the opportunity and will be directing a movie with the two celebrities, with a script written by Issa Rae.
After pitching the concept to studios at the Cannes Film Festival, Netflix called won an aggressive bid on the project and we can expect to see the movie in 2018.
