Girl, 13, Designs Smart Bandage That Tells You When To Change, Wins Google Science Prize

This teenage prodigy has caught the eyes of some big players in the tech industry!

13-year-old Anushka Naiknaware from Oregon has developed a bandage that can tell the person wearing it when it needs to be changed, according to the recommended moisture levels required for maximum, safe healing.

The little genius caught the attention of the judges at an international science contest held by Google, and secured herself a $15,000 scholarship.

Her project also lead her to win the Lego Education Builder Award. The award included the scholarship, a free trip to the Denmark Lego World headquarters, and a year of entrepreneurship mentoring from a Lego executive to kickstart her promising career.

All this at 13 years of age!

Thanks to Anushka, young girls worldwide are receiving the inspiration and motivation to work towards their lifelong goals, no matter how daunting the task.
